The tour begins near the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. You’ll admire this magnificent masterpiece of Baroque architecture from the outside; it was built in the 17th century as a votive offering of thanks for the end of the plague that struck Venice.

Leaving the Grand Canal behind, the gondola will venture into the picturesque side canals, where you’ll discover an authentic and lesser-known side of Venice, far from the most crowded routes.

The route finally takes you near the famous Teatro La Fenice, one of the world’s most prestigious opera houses. This is where operas by great Italian composers such as Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Giuseppe Verdi and Gaetano Donizetti made their debut. During the tour, you’ll be able to admire its distinctive stage tower from the outside, which was rebuilt after the great fire of 1996.
